The scoop on a new Design Studio, new carts, and what Provo Craft has come up with lately

The video above will tell you this:

  • the reason that we haven't seen more content from the carts that are coming out is because they aren't finished yet
  • there will be 25 new cartridges in 2009 - 10 of those will be licensed designs. DC Comics will be one of the licensed carts - Batman, Superman, Green Lantern, Wonder Woman, The Flash, Plasticman, these are all DC Comics & it will be interesting to see what ends up on the cart
  • no sequel to Paper Dolls--sales just don't justify it
  • Mickey Mouse is the best selling cartridge
  • more Sesame Street cart(s), likely no more David Walker carts
  • the new carts viewed at CHA will be out in June

From that same interview (not on tape):

  • new Design Studio updates, as well as a new version of Design Studio (?PRO?); both will block using SCAL (I swear, that's got to be illegal)
  • the Pro version is something separate from what we have now--you'll have to pay for it all over again, but it does have some new, cool features--not sure how they can justify that in this economy, or since they haven't fixed the existing Design Studio, but I have to say it is expected from Provo Craft; and of course you won't be able to use your TTF's with the new version either

Looking for the FREE ZONE (free blog background sites, free font sites...)

That information has been moved to the Imagine That Plus site so that this site will load faster (that one doesn't have as much, and everything is pretty much in posts & not at the bottom of every page so it loads at a pretty good rate).
